Let's Get to Know Our Abalone Craft Beer

Lager is a type of beer which is fermented at low temperatures, ranging in colours from extremely pale, trough to amber beers, to even dark brown and blacks. The depth of the colour comes from the specific grain bills used in beer. A pale lager may use unroasted barley or add other grains such as rice or corn, which will lighten the colour and provide a bright and crisp finish to the flavour. In contrast, darker lagers use roasted grains and malt which produce a roasted flavour profile, and sometimes even slightly burnt.

Kansom’s Abalone and Nori Maki Lager is a light and crispy beer for all occasions, with a simple malt base, barley, wheat, and rice. It comes a touch of our Australian Wild Caught Green Lip Abalone and nori and wakame seaweed. The Abalone used in our beer is 100% Natural Australian Abalone.

Nori is the Japanese name for edible seaweed, with a strong and distinctive flavour, known commonly for its use in Japanese cuisine to wrap rolls of sushi or onigiri. Wakame is another type of edible seaweed which brings a unique taste and texture, and it most commonly used in soups and salads in Japanese cuisine. A Craft Beer perfect for summer’s day and has an alcohol content of 4.4% and is available in 330ML Cans and Bottles.

This crisp Lager is naturally brewed with Water, Malt, Rice, Nori, Wakame, Hops and Greenlip Abalone.

Perfect Food Pairing

A bubbly beer that is a perfect complement for summer and summer cuisine. Perfect to serve with barbecue meats and seafood, as well as light summer food such as salads. This beer is best served chilled. It pairs excellently with Kansom’s Abalone in Retorted Pouch Natural Blacklip, Abalone Hot Chilli Sea Sauce and Canned Abalone in Brine.
