Ladybell Soup with Snow Fungus

Our Ready-to-Eat Abalone Soup with Herbs Range has been artfully prepared to create a sublime balance of flavours. Our Ladybell Soup with Snow Fungus, has been cooked with a range of delicious and nutritious herbal ingredients and contains no added MSG:

  • Ladybell 沙參

  • Snow Fungus 銀耳(雪耳)

  • Lotus Plumule 莲子

  • Lily Bulb 百合

  • Yuzhu 玉竹

  • Mandarin Peel 陈皮

This soup has been lovingly crafted as an alternative option to our other herbal soups in our Abalone Soup with Herbs Range. Whilst this soup contains no Whole Abalone, Abalone Extract is used in this soup to boost the natural flavours of the herbal ingredients.

Ladybell, also known as Adenophora, is regarding in traditional Chinese medicine for its ability to have a cooling effect and nourishing yin, as well as to tonify the stomach. It is traditionally used in cooking to aid with:

  • Relief of dry coughs, and to moisten the lungs and throat.

  • Due to its expectorant and anti-fungal effects, assisting with the removal of phlegm.

  • Strengthen the immune system.

  • Removing heat from the body, and nourishing yin.

Snow Fungus is used in traditional Chinese medicine for improving circulation, supporting cardiovascular health, as well as nourishing the yin due its high Vitamin D, dietary fibre, and protein content. It is traditionally used in cooking to aid with:

  • Nourishing the kidney and stomach.

  • Promote skin rejuvenation.

  • Strengthening the heart.

Lotus Plumule, is used in traditional Chinese medicine for its ability to benefit the respiratory system and promote normal sleep cycle. It has a sweet taste and is traditionally used in cooking to aid with:

Lily Bulb, is regarded for its high nutritional value as they are high in protein, calcium, phosphorous, iron vitamin B and vitamin C, and has a delicate and sweet taste. This dried herb is the root vegetable from the lilium flowering plant, and it is traditionally used in cooking to aid with:
